Kamloops Photographer - Commercial Photography

Which of these three are you today? I’m the one not pictured drinking wine from the bottle. Might be cuter with a beautiful gold straw set from Group Therapy Wine! This set was personalized for Ella bean and comes with three straws and a cleaning wand. A curved straw, a straight straw and a smoothie straw!

This backpack has seen better days for sure! But it was exactly the right teal so I worked some magic.

Ella’s Iced Tea Recipe

What you need:

Iced Tea diluted with 50% water

Your favourite frozen fruit - we picked blueberries and strawberries

Ice!

A glass

& A set of gold drinking straws from Group Therapy Wine

Combine it all together, mix & sip! It was gone very quickly!! I just kept topping it up with water and she was still enjoying.

Hey friends! I have some super exciting news to share. I have been entering my photos into new competitions lately and these are the preliminary results from ViewBug. This business can be very difficult to manage alone and sometimes you have to toot your own horn a little bit. (Toot, toot!) 📯 Results are also still pending from Shoot and Share but those will be underwraps for a little while longer! I am happy to announce that 2 images of mine made it to Best of the Best which is the top 200 within their category. My goal this year was to make it to Round 12/12 and I surpassed that so I am over the moon.

Thank you so much to Kyle for taking this photo of me. It was a no sleep, throw on some mascara and a hat and off to the park kind of day. And I love it! It’s very real and very much me. Hat: Thrift Monster!

‘Elopement Love’ placing 3rd overall was my very first wedding for someone outside of my family. (Though this Bride is now one of my best friends in the world!) This is a more recent edit of it. I love going back on old work as I find it is the best way to see how I have evolved. The only photographer you should compare yourself with is yourself. Thank you ViewBug for the feature and the finalist award!

The second shot with Emily Phillips of Deja Vu Model Management titled ‘Wet Florals’ was also published in Elegant Magazine. This image placed 18th of 48,000 photos. This set features makeup by Ginger Turley Artistry & Florals from Fern & Frond. You can see BTS photos here.

I really am thankful to get to create and work with all my clients and colleagues. This truly is my dream. It is a lot of hard work. And I MEAN a lot! There are sleepless nights working towards deadlines. But the need for me to create always wins! Thank you for 7 years in the industry so far and hopefully many, many more.

Client Closet - "The Cosmos" Lace Dress by North of Esme

If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know that I love lace. Lace everything! And when North of Esme followed me on Instagram and I saw her dress photos I fell in love. She has such a great eye for blending styles and fabrics - everything she posts I want! It’s dangerous.

I’ve shot with Melissa (pictured below) a few times now and she always has the most amazing photo styling . Now I can’t remember how we got onto the topic but this dress (among others was brought up!) and this amazing wonderful client actually helped purchased this dress for the client closet. I am so appreciative of my clients that trust in the process and give me some guidance into what they want - and then just leave me to it! This dress is designed for sizes 4 to 12 but does allow up or down a size, in my opinion.

If you’d like to wear this dress from the client closet, just let me know! And fellow photographers in Kamloops it is also available for rent - pm for custom pricing.

Special thanks to Ginger Turley Artistry for making sure Melissa was photo ready and delivering her strip lashes for the shoot. Ginger has done Melissa’s makeup for past photos and we missed her so much on this shoot!

This last series, shared with permission, some of the shots that don’t always make it into the gallery. As Melissa recounts “The broken flip flop, accidental flashing of cars and the cactus needle in the foot was worth it. The company and laughter was pretty great too.”

Kamloops - Best of Both Worlds

If you’ve shot with me before you’ll know I’m a lets-cram-as-many-outfit-changes-into-this-as-we-can type photographer. I love to keep you busy! It gives you less time to freak out and worry about your face and more time to watch me jump around working to get that perfect shot. It’s why sometimes I don’t share BTS photos because sometimes.. they’re a little wild. Two days ago I was laying down in the grass to get some shots of Ella and Leo and Kyle was just shaking his head. But you gotta do what ya gotta do!

Meet Dr. Robyn Prescott, ND! She is super lovely and very easy to talk to. I met her through my SIL (and instagram!) We originally had a shoot booked but it had to be postponed due to Covid. I’m so appreciative of her and all my other clients who were happy to wait and reschedule while I navigated through this tricky time. This session was both a branding shoot for her new website & we squeezed in a romantic couples shoot at the very end. I had such a great time shooting with Robyn and Dylan, they actually had to tell me when the session was over because I kept shooting. 😂 But the shots are magic and I couldn’t be happier with my first week of shoots back. Thanks again!! And welcome to Kamloops! Can’t wait for our next shoot.

Thanks Dylan for this awesome BTS shot!!
