I was so happy to be able to gift this session to both Miranda and her sister Chelsea! Both women nominated each other and I thought what better way to honour them than to do a dual session with all the babies! I first met Chelsea and Miranda when they booked an AMAZING multi generational shoot with all the ladies in their life!! Was a great way to spend my Thanksgiving that year, seriously I just felt so lucky.

I’m drooling over these, it was everything I envisioned when I walked by this spot with my own kids.

Kamloops Mini Session - Backyard Photo Shoot

“You guys are having more fun than when we had the clown over for your birthday!”

Well you KNOW that made my night! And I didn’t stop laughing this whole entire shoot. I loved it. Sometimes I can be very serious when I’m working but these two kids were hamming it up from the very start. The 30 minutes was up in no time and all I could think of was how excited I was to edit them so their parents could see.

Expectation..

Reality 😜 BUT the reality is my favourite.

I can’t WAIT to have photos like this of Ella and Leo. PRICELESS. I was close to crying taking them. How freaking cool is my job to get to show parents like.. hey you made these beautiful kids.

Remember to have fun! PLAY! Laugh!!! It doesn’t have to be just a photo shoot. This is a chance to make some memories.

I can totally see these framed up on the wall. That brother-sister bond, just magic!

I had both kids take me to their favourite spot in their yard for their portraits!

Kamloops Photographer - Mini Session

Isn’t this just the cutest thing you’ve seen all day?! This cutie patootie is one of my fave little kids to photograph. Her mom and I have become so close over the last few years. She really wanted to do something special for Father’s Day so we came up with this together. Normally around this time I shoot Mama & Me mini sessions but didn’t get the chance this year. Luckily we still had the opportunity to get together and create these memories! Happy Father’s Day!

Kamloops Photographer - Portrait Session

So about this night. It was stormy in Valleyview - LIKE THE CRAZIEST WINDS EVER - but luckily it was so gorgeous up above Batchelor. I mean.. we got it all. Golden hour, sunset, a rainbow & blue hour.

It is always so fun to create with other creatives. Carmen is a photographer, makeup artist & stylist and I was SO excited to finally meet her. Our original session was rescheduled because of that awful blizzard at the beginning of the year! And then this, that and the other happened. And then Covid happened.. I was worried after all this hype it might fall flat. I was wrong. I’m in love with what we created together. 1000%. It was just what my heart needed!

I love creating collaboratively - my fave shoots are always the ones where we are sorting through piles of outfit options & putting together looks on the go. There is something about that little bit of spontaneity and improvisation that fuels me! You show up with some things, I show up with some things & magic happens.
